Dr. Donna Rockwell is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in New York City and Farmington Hills, Michigan. She has worked with clients on wellness issues since 1999.
In addition to her clinical practice and academic posts, Dr. Rockwell teaches public mindfulness classes and conducts outreach work, bringing the theories and practical application of mindfulness to corporations, small businesses, MBA courses, and sports teams.
Dr. Rockwell is adjunct faculty at the Michigan School of Professional Psychology (MiSPP) in Farmington Hills, Michigan and Saybrook University, School of Mind-Body Medicine. She was mentored by Humanistic Psychology founder, Clark Moustakas, PhD at the Center for Humanistic Studies in: phenomenological and heuristic research methods, humanistic-existential psychotherapy, existential dream analysis, and play therapy for children.
Dr. Rockwell designed and taught the Mindfulness curriculum at MiSPP, and currently teaches Mindfulness, Meditation and Health at Saybrook University, Graduate School of Mind-Body Medicine. Dr. Rockwell also serves at both schools as a dissertation committee member and chair.
Her research writing on mindfulness & psychotherapy and the psychology of fame & celebrity can be read in peer-reviewed journals.
